அகர முதல எழுத்தெல்லாம் ஆதி
பகவன் முதற்றே உலகு

What use is all learning if one does not revere the noble feet of the One of Pure Consciousness?

கற்றதனால் ஆய பயனென்கொல் வாலறிவன்
நற்றாள் தொழாஅர் எனின்

Those who continuously dwell at the glorious feet of the Divine who indwells the heart live enduringly in the realm of truth.

மலர்மிசை ஏகினான் மாணடி சேர்ந்தார்
நிலமிசை நீடுவாழ் வார்

For those who reach the feet of the Divine who has neither desire nor aversion, sorrow never attaches at any time.

வேண்டுதல் வேண்டாமை இலானடி சேர்ந்தார்க்கு
யாண்டும் இடும்பை இல

The twin entanglements born of delusion never attach to those who dwell in the genuine praise of the Divine.

இருள்சேர் இருவினையும் சேரா இறைவன்
பொருள்சேர் புகழ்புரிந்தார் மாட்டு

Those who stand steadfast in the truthful moral path of the One who mastered the five senses live enduringly in wholeness.

பொறிவாயில் ஐந்தவித்தான் பொய்தீர் ஒழுக்க
நெறிநின்றார் நீடுவாழ் வார்

Except for those who reach the feet of the Incomparable Divine, dispelling the anxiety of the mind is impossible.

தனக்குவமை இல்லாதான் தாள்சேர்ந்தார்க் கல்லால்
மனக்கவலை மாற்றல் அரிது

Unless one reaches the raft of the feet of the Divine who is an Ocean of Virtue, crossing the sea of worldly turmoil is difficult.

அறவாழி அந்தணன் தாள்சேர்ந்தார்க் கல்லால்
பிறவாழி நீந்தல் அரிது

Like sense organs that lack perception, heads that do not bow before the Possessor of Eightfold Qualities are devoid of purpose.

கோளில் பொறியின் குணமிலவே எண்குணத்தான்
தாளை வணங்காத் தலை

Those who reach the feet of the Sovereign Divine cross the vast sea of change; those who do not sink helplessly within it.

பிறவிப் பெருங்கடல் நீந்துவர் நீந்தார்
இறைவன் அடிசேரா தார்

If the heavens turn dry, neither grand festivals nor sacred offerings will continue on this earth.

சிறப்பொடு பூசனை செல்லாது வானம்
வறக்குமேல் வானோர்க்கும் ஈண்டு

Hold to the path taught by the One without attachment; hold to that support so that every other attachment may be released.

பற்றுக பற்றற்றான் பற்றினை அப்பற்றைப்
பற்றுக பற்று விடற்கு

If the guardian-ruler fails to protect living beings, cows' yield will diminish and the Brahmans of the six duties will forget their sacred texts.

ஆபயன் குன்றும் அறுதொழிலோர் நூல்மறப்பர்
காவலன் காவான் எனின்

Slumber upon a beloved's tender shoulder brings sweeter bliss than the highest celestial realm.

தாம்வீழ்வார் மென்றோள் துயிலின் இனிதுகொல்
தாமரைக் கண்ணான் உலகு
