பிரிது மொழிதல் அணி (ஒட்டணி)
வலிமையான சக்கரங்களைக் கொண்ட பெருந்தேர் கடலில் ஓட முடியாது; கடலில் பாயும் பெருங்கப்பல் நிலத்தில் ஓட முடியாது. எவ்வளவு வல்லமை மிக்கவராயினும் தங்கள் களம் அல்லாத இடத்தில் வலிமையிழப்பர். — A mighty war chariot with iron wheels cannot sail the open sea; a vast ship cannot roll upon dry land. However powerful one may be, power is useless outside its appropriate sphere.

கால் வல் நெடுந்தேர்= நிலத்தின்கண் ஓடும் கால் வலிய நெடிய தேர்கள் கடலின்கண் ஓடமாட்டா; கடல் ஓடும் நாவாயும் நிலத்து ஓடா= இனி, அக்கடலின்கண் ஓடும் நாவாய்கள் தாமும், நிலத்தின்கண் ஓடமாட்டா.
