இல்வாழ்க்கை அன்பும் அறனும் உடைத்து ஆயின் = ஒருவன் இல்வாழ்க்கை, தன் துணைவிமேல் செய்யத்தகும் அன்பினையும், பிறர்க்குப் பகுத்துண்டலாகிய அறத்தினையும் உடைத்தாயின்; அது பண்பும் பயனும் = அவ்வுடைமை அதற்குப் பண்பும் பயனுமாம். (இல்லாட்குங் கணவற்கும் நெஞ்சு ஒன்றாகாவழி இல்லறம் கடைபோகாமையின் அன்புடைமை பண்பாயிற்று, அறனுடைமை பயனாயிற்று.)
