மடி புரிந்து மாண்ட உஞற்று இலவர்= மடியை விரும்புதலான் மாண்ட முயற்சி இல்லாதார்; இடி புரிந்து எள்ளும் சொல் கேட்பர்= தம் நாட்டார்முன் கழறுதலை மிகச்செய்து அதனாற் பயன் காணாமையின் பின் இகழ்ந்து சொல்லும் சொல்லைக் கேட்பர்.
