பழி அஞ்சி = பொருள் ஈட்டுங்கால் பாவத்தை அஞ்சி; பாத்து ஊண் வாழ்க்கை உடைத்து ஆயின் = அப்பொருளை உரியார்க்குப் பகுத்துத் தான் உண்ணும் இல்வாழ்க்கையை ஒருவன் உடையனாயின்; வழி எஞ்ஞான்றும் எஞ்சல் இல் = அவன் வழி உலகத்து எஞ்ஞான்றும் நிற்றலல்லது இறத்தல் இல்லை. (பாவத்தான் வந்த பிறன்பொருளைப் பகுத்து உண்ணின் வழி எஞ்சுமாகலின் 'பழியஞ்சி' என்றார்.)
