குணம் என்னும் குன்று ஏறி நின்றார் வெகுளி = துறவு மெய்யுணர்வு அவாவின்மை முதலிய நற்குணங்களாகிய குன்றின் முடிவின்கண் நின்ற முனிவரது வெகுளி; கணமேயும் காத்தல் அரிது = தான் உள்ளவளவு கணமேயாயினும், வெகுளப்பட்டாரால் தடுத்தல் அரிது. (இவை இரண்டு பாட்டானும் அவர் ஆணை கூறப்பட்டது.)
