The folly of desiring another man's wife is never found in those who have truly understood virtue and right living.

அறம்பொருள் கண்டார்கண் இல்

விளியாது நிற்கும் பழி

இகவாவாம் இல்லிறப்பான் கண்

பெண்மை நயவா தவன்

பிறன்மனை நோக்காத பேராண்மை சான்றோர்க்கு
அறனொன்றோ ஆன்ற வொழுக்கு

நலக்குரியார் யாரெனின் நாமநீர் வைப்பின்
பிறர்க்குரியாள் தோள்தோயா தார்

ஏதில் பிணந்தழீஇ அற்று

பொருட்பொருளார் புன்னலந் தோயார் அருட்பொருள்
ஆயும் அறிவி னவர்

Those who seek to preserve their own noble reputation will never embrace women who flaunt their shallow charms.

தந்நலம் பாரிப்பார் தோயார் தகைசெருக்கிப்
புன்னலம் பாரிப்பார் தோள்

Only those lacking self-control will embrace women who harbor another motive in their hearts while offering their embrace.

நிறைநெஞ்சம் இல்லவர் தோய்வார் பிறநெஞ்சிற்
பேணிப் புணர்பவர் தோள்

The soft shoulders of women who yield indiscriminately for hire are a foul swamp into which base fools sink.

வரைவிலா மாணிழையார் மென்தோள் புரையிலாப்
பூரியர்கள் ஆழும் அளறு
