துன்பத்துள் துப்பு ஆயார் நட்புத் துறவற்க = துன்பக் காலத்துத் தனக்குப் பற்றுக்கோடு ஆயினாரது நட்பை விடாது ஒழிக; மாசு அற்றார் கேண்மை மறவற்க = அறிவு ஒழுக்கங்களிற் குற்றம் அற்றாரது கேண்மையை மறவாது ஒழிக. ('கேண்மை' கேளாந்தன்மை.)
