காலத்தினால் செய்த நன்றி = ஒருவனுக்கு இறுதிவந்த எல்லைக்கண் ஒருவன் செய்த உபகாரம்; சிறிது எனினும் ஞாலத்தின் மாணப் பெரிது = தன்னை நோக்கச் சிறிதாய் இருந்ததாயினும் அக்காலத்தை நோக்க நிலவுலகத்தினும் மிகப் பெரிது. (அக்காலம் நோக்குதல் அல்லது பொருள் நோக்கல் ஆகாது என்பதாம்.)
